Recorded at her home studio in Port Perry, Ontario, Classic Comfort has been created with the rich colors of her Yamaha C6 Grand Piano. Prelude (J.S. Bach)
The Well-Tempered Clavier is a collection of solo keyboard music composed by J.S. Bach, a prelude and fugue written in each key. There are two volumes. The b flat minor Prelude, BWV 867 is taken from Book 1 and is dark and poignant with expressive phrasing in flowing rhythms.

Moonlight Sonata (Beethoven)
The Adagio Sostenuto written by Beethoven is designated "quasi una fantasia" and is an uncharacteristic slow movement in his Sonata in c sharp minor. The expressive lyric cantabile line is known as the Moonlight.

One of the beloved short pieces of the 43 Album for the Young by Robert Schumann, Träumerei (Reverie) creates a mood of tender dreaming which can be shared by young and old alike.

Consolation (Liszt)
Liszt wrote six Consolations and this is the third. It is crafted like a simple Chopin nocturne with the right hand melody over a left hand broken chord figure accompaniment.

Air (Grieg)
Known as Andante Religioso, this Air from Grieg's Holberg Suite is set in a neoclassical style. Originally written for piano, this popular work was later arranged for string orchestra.

Gymnopedie (Satie)
Of Satie's three gymnopedies, #1 is perhaps the most well known, Each of the three takes a different approach to the same sad and languorous idea. Gymnopedies are dances performed at ancient greek festivals.

Pavane (Ravel)
Ravel composed this piano work in 1899 and dedicated it to his patron Princess of Polignac. It was rewritten for orchestra in 1910. The pavane is a slow processional dance that enjoyed popularity in the European courts in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Ravel and his contemporaries were enthused by Spanish customs and sensibilities.
