Hope ~  Beauty ~  Gentleness

These are the guiding principles of the music Bev Foster records as well as composes in her Room 217 series of CDs, designed for people facing life challenges and to support their caregivers.

Hugs & Kisses is the fourth CD in the Room 217 series, this one created especially for children.  It threads together timeless children’s classics, popular songs from children’s films, original tunes and lullabies.  Percussionist Beverley Johnston uses her mallets on vibraphone, glockenspiel, cymbals and bells to create an atmosphere that is both warm and innocent.  Bev Foster’s tender piano arrangements and soothing voice makes this album a beautiful gift for supporting children through life’s transitions – and to bring comfort to their siblings, parents, and other caregivers, too.  These reassuring songs also help to express and allow all the emotions that come with illness or other life challenges.

Bev Foster has more than 25 years experience as a performer, songwriter and music educator.  Her music speaks deeply to the human spirit.  She also regularly speaks about Music for Life’s Journey to a wide variety of audiences, including health-care and hospice professionals, spiritual leaders and community groups.

Room 217 is a series of CDs that sensitively provides comfort and hope for life’s journey.  The series includes three other CDs: Spirit Wings, Gentle Waters, and Celtic Whisperings.  The next two in the series, after Hugs & Kisses, are Warm Breezes and Classic Comfort.
