The Music Care Blog follows the success of the 1st Music Care Conference held November 6, 2010 in Waterloo, Ontario which brought together stakeholders in music and care to experience music in a way that contributes to body-mind-spirit care. Future conferences will continue to identify and integrate common themes and issues using music across the care spectrum and highlight the social implications of music in care.

The Music Care Blog is a place for those interested in building a community of music carers who come from a variety of experiences and approaches. Some may be professional music carers (i.e. music therapists, harp therapists, expressive arts therapists), musicians who know the healing power of their art, business owners, students, family and volunteer caregivers or healthcare providers who intuitively understand that music makes a difference in the context of healing and wellness.
