Room 217’s Hugs and Kisses is an album intentionally produced for children under 12 years old. It is a journey of lullabies delicately woven together with voice, piano and all kinds of bells. Musicians Bev Foster (voice, piano) and Beverley Johnston (percussion) create a magical soundscape that shimmers with warmth and love.

Classic lullaby favorites include Early One Morning, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Simple Gifts, Kum Ba Yah, Hush Little Baby, and the Brahms Lullaby. Paced slowly at 60 beats per minute, this album is soothing and helps decrease agitation, perception of pain and has a settling effect on children. Classic movie favorites are peppered throughout like Woody’s song You’ve Got  A Friend in Me, the inspirational Go the Distance from Hercules, the classic Goodnight My Someone from The Music Man and Phil Collins’ You’ll Be in My Heart from Tarzan. Foster writes several endearing songs for this album including the title track Hugs and Kisses which richly express love and connection between children and their loved ones.
